Natalia was recently featured in an episode of a very interesting music show on the Chilean Television network TVN. The show, DoRemix, devotes each episode to exploring an important song in Chilean music history. Through interviews with the songwriters, original performers, contemporary musicians and folks on the street, the show presents the historical context of the song, some biographical information about the original artists and examines the impact the song had on Chilean culture. Each episode finishes with a music video of a new rendition of the song, arranged by the musical director of the show, Sebastián Piga, and performed by contemporary musicians. The episode she appears in is dedicated to a classic romantic song by the Chilean group Los Galos, “Como Deseo Ser Tu Amor.” Natalia recorded her interview and vocal parts in February of 2013 and was very pleased to see, when the episode aired recently, that she had sung in a virtual band along side two amazing and well-known Chilean singers; Pablo Ugarte of the Band Upa! and the legendary crooner, Lucho Jara. There’s even a clip of Natalia singing a portion of one of her original songs, “Caravaneros,” during her interview, accompanied Jason Ennis.

Afternoon Concert in Norfolk, CT Sunday, November 10, 5:00PM

We’re looking forward to playing this coming Sunday at the beautiful Norfolk Library in Norfolk, CT: 9 Greenwoods Road, Norfolk, CT 06058.  Norfolk is a exceptionally hip town and the concert series at the Library is quite amazing.  Natalia and Jason played there in June as the special guests of our good friend, Jon Suters, and were asked to return for a show with the trio. For more information, visit their website: http://www.norfolklibrary.org. The concert is free and open to the public, but please call (860) 542-5075 or email efwellness@gmail.com to RSVP.

Queens Jazz Overground Concert, February 14th, 2014.

We’re very happy to have just booked a concert for next Valentine’s Day at the Flushing Town Hall in Flushing, Queens. We’re all very proud to be working with this great organization whose mission is to support jazz performances and education in the borough of Queens.  It’s especially fitting since Mike and his family just moved to Jackson Heights, making us an all-Queens-based trio! We should be perfect for the timing of the concert- what could be more romantic than La Voz de Tres on Valentine’s Day?

La Voz de Tres recently completed their second Southwest tour through California, Nevada and Arizona.  This repeat visit to the area brought the band in front of new and enthusiastic audiences in many wonderful venues.  Highlights included a performance at Jazz in Arizona’s flagship club, The Nash, a double bill concert in Oakland, CA with the wonderful Brazilian Choro trio, Grupo Falso Baiano and an appearance at one of Northern California’s hidden gems, famed house concert series of Ernie Shelton in Sebastopol. A radio interview with Blaise Lantana on Phoenix’s KJAZZ led to a September 2014 engagement at the Tempe Center for the Arts, an impressive performing arts complex on the shore of the Tempe Town Lake. Stayed tuned for more details regarding a September 2014 tour in the Southwest!
