Fantastic Review of “Sueños y Delirios” in The World Music Report
Many Thanks to Raul da Gama of the World Music Report for a very positive review of Sueños y Delirios! Here’s a bit of what he had to say:
“…this is a disc [in] which iridescent music is transformed—with a breath, a word, a single musical note—into something quite transcendent; even spiritual.”
“…absolutely divine… sheer vivid and palpable exhilaration.”
We think that means he dug it! To read the full review, click here:

Nice Review in All About Jazz!
We were quite pleased to see this nice review of our September concert in Tempe, AZ appear in All About Jazz recently. Reviewer Patricia Myers had some very nice things to say about the group, praising our “flawless synergy” and “exceptional originality and style” and at one point likening our approach to that of the great Modern Jazz Quartet. We’ll take that. Many thanks to Patricia Myers and All About Jazz! To read the full review, go to www.allaboutjazz.com and search for “La Voz de Tres” or click on the words “nice review of our…” in the first sentence above.

New CD, “Sueños y Delirios,” Arrives Next Week!
We’re thrilled to announce that our new release, Sueños y Delirios, will be available on September 26th, 2014! The new CD represents the next step in the evolution the trio’s work, capturing the same rich and unique sound and interplay that distinguished our first recording from four years ago, but broadened palette. We’ve explored some new territory, with longer, more complex forms in the arrangements and compositions and a wider range of Latin American and North American rhythms and styles. We’re also joined by two special guests; Chilean percussionist Yayo Serka appears on two tunes and saxophonist Michael Zsoldos lends his beautiful soprano sound to one selection. Plus, this CD has two firsts: an original composition by Jason (Vagalume) and harmony vocals by Mike and Jason!
We’ll be launching this CD with a string of very nice concerts this fall, beginning with a series of concerts out west:
Friday, September 26: Alva’s Showroom in San Pedro, CA
Saturday, September 27: The Tempe Center for the Arts, Tempe, AZ
Sunday, September 28: The Historic Fifth Street School, Las Vegas, NV
Details can be found on our schedule page. More information and further gigs to follow!
Natalia Bernal featured on Chilean National Television!
Natalia was recently featured in an episode of a very interesting music show on the Chilean Television network TVN. The show, DoRemix, devotes each episode to exploring an important song in Chilean music history. Through interviews with the songwriters, original performers, contemporary musicians and folks on the street, the show presents the historical context of the song, some biographical information about the original artists and examines the impact the song had on Chilean culture. Each episode finishes with a music video of a new rendition of the song, arranged by the musical director of the show, Sebastián Piga, and performed by contemporary musicians. The episode she appears in is dedicated to a classic romantic song by the Chilean group Los Galos, “Como Deseo Ser Tu Amor.” Natalia recorded her interview and vocal parts in February of 2013 and was very pleased to see, when the episode aired recently, that she had sung in a virtual band along side two amazing and well-known Chilean singers; Pablo Ugarte of the Band Upa! and the legendary crooner, Lucho Jara. There’s even a clip of Natalia singing a portion of one of her original songs, “Caravaneros,” during her interview, accompanied Jason Ennis.
